Join us on 15 - 16 August for the Exclusive XK Club Weekend

Club secretary Paula Porter takes a look ahead to this year's XK Club Weekend

If you haven’t already booked, we have an exciting and exclusive Club Weekend planned for 15-16 August, starting in the beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern. Why not make a long weekend of it and arrive a day early to explore this charming spa town?

Nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills, Malvern offers breath-taking countryside views, picturesque walking routes, independent shops, cafés and historic landmarks. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the hills, discover Malvern Priory, or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere. Whatever you’re looking for, Malvern provides the perfect setting to start your weekend.

The event officially kicks off at Car Club Fest, where you’re in for far more than a traditional car show. Set against the backdrop of the Three Counties Showground, the festival brings together more than 40 car clubs from across the UK, creating an incredible display of everything from vintage cars and post-war classics to modern performance cars and ‘restomods’.

The festival is built around three dedicated zones. The Club Zone enables you to explore club displays, meet fellow owners and enjoy live interviews and presentations in the arena. The Motorsport Zone adds plenty of action with AutoSolo and AutoTest competitions running throughout the weekend, while the Trade Zone features specialist suppliers, restorers, autojumble stalls, arts, crafts and lifestyle exhibitors.

Beyond the cars, Car Club Fest has been designed as a complete weekend experience. You can enjoy live music, excellent food and drink, a licensed bar, on-site camping and a packed programme of entertainment. Highlights include the Extreme Bike Battle stunt show, fascinating birds of prey displays, the Moving Motor Show, Pride of Ownership competitions, and opportunities to hear from owners, experts and special guests throughout the weekend.

After a day at the show, we will make our way to Ludlow, where we will enjoy a three-course evening meal at The Clive. Located on the beautiful Oakly Park Estate, just outside the historic market town, The Clive sits alongside the award-winning Ludlow Farm Shop, one of the finest food destinations in the region. You can browse an impressive selection of artisan produce, locally reared meats, handmade cheeses, bakery goods, preserves and gifts, with much of the food produced on-site by skilled craftspeople. The farm shop, café, distillery and surrounding estate make it an enjoyable destination in its own right and well worth exploring.

Just a few minutes away lies the historic market town of Ludlow, widely regarded as one of England’s finest market towns. Dominated by its medieval castle and packed with black-and-white timber-framed buildings, independent shops, traditional markets, cafés and restaurants, Ludlow is renowned for its food culture. Whether you fancy wandering the cobbled streets, exploring the castle, browsing the local market or simply enjoying the scenery along the River Teme, it offers plenty of reasons to extend your visit.
